Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
The long-awaited prequel series is now available on Prime Video and I was lucky enough to work on its global launch promotions across Europe!
Project: LoTR: The Rings of Power -  European premiere campaigns.

Role: 2D Junior Multimedia Designer
Team: Singleframe UK, Amazon Prime
Date: July - Sept 2022
The long-awaited Lord of the Rings prequel series, The Rings of Power, is finally out for everyone to watch on Prime Video!
It’s been an amazing journey to Middle-earth working on this series promotions, so much hard work and creativity went into bringing these campaigns to life. I’m fortunate to have joined the many talented people on the European leg of the worldwide promotions, all the folks at Singleframe have been so kind to me as a new junior designer going into the team; and I learned SO much from watching my seniors do what they do best.
My efforts this time were focused on pieces that flew to London, Milan and Oslo respectively, working hard for weeks before the premiere on September 2nd. I still can't believe I got to be a part of this amazing show, working on television has been a dream of mine and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be part of one of the biggest releases of the year, in a small, significant way.
A journey to Middle-earth
From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone. We wanted to welcome everyone to middle-earth once again, with bespoke artwork coming straight from San Diego Comic Con - now with worldwide reach.

The journey begins
Starting with the UK campaign, we targeted an iconic symbol: The red buses! I wrapped them with different characters so they could travel around London during the premiere week, and it was a challenging feat considering they all had different sizes and colors! I had so much fun with these.

Next, I hopped over to the Italy team to lend them a hand with some huuuge billboards!
For reference, the biggest piece of OOH work I've ever done until then were street signs (2x5 metres at best). Milan needed something bigger, though - because this was a 55 metres sign for none other than Torre Gioia, one of César Pelli's skyscrapers standing at 121 metres! As a fellow argentinian, this was huge to me!
I paid close attention to the different translations for the titles and CTAs as well as how it'd read on such a colossal surface. This was a great way to re-learn how to work with impressive specs and quality - I'm now best friends with large scale print projects!
The original artwork is designed with impressive quality that can handle huge sizes. Such a pleasure to work with, just look at how pretty it is!
And last but certainly not least, my favorite project: The Nationaltheatret Metro Station, located in Oslo, Norway! This was an inmense project that housed +300 artworks across the entire station.
I was in charge of the Eastbound Pillars, working with the main characters to wrap 14 columns that ran side-by-side with the train tracks. Together with Dylan, 2D creative lead at Singleframe, we arranged them with a particular logic behind that has to do with color and their storylines, while also keeping in mind that they're double-sided pillars and the passengers can come from any direction!

It takes a village!
Coming from years of working as a solo freelancer, joining the 2D team at Singleframe has been an eye-opening process to me, and I loved the dynamic collaborating remotely with several different teams and professionals.
I learned so much more than just design, and I'm forever grateful for the opportunity!

What I did is just a small part of the promotions, you can check out
